ALGIERS, April 12–15, 2026 – The 2026 DJAZAGRO exhibition is underway at SAFEX Exhibition Center in Algiers. Organized by France’s Comexposium Group, the event is a key platform for North Africa’s food industry.

Around 23,000 professional visitors—including food processors, manufacturers, and distributors—are attending. Over 600 exhibitors from more than 20 countries are showcasing food products, ingredients, and processing machinery.

Algeria’s food market is heavily import-dependent. Staples like wheat, cooking oil, dairy, and sugar dominate demand, while processed and snack foods are growing rapidly.

Tea—especially green tea and mint tea—is a daily essential with high consumption. Since Algeria produces almost no tea locally, the market relies entirely on imports. China is the largest supplier, followed by India and Sri Lanka.
